Backing Up Your Phone’s Camera Roll

Statistically, you are more likely to lose your digital photos in a tech crash than your analog memories in a house fire or other natural disaster. So for peace of mind, be sure to have a back-up plan!

The Dropbox mobile app offers a simple solution to back up files from your phone to the cloud. With the app’s “camera uploads” feature enabled, any photo or video you’ve taken with your mobile device will be backed up automatically to your Dropbox account (Dropbox Basic users must also have the desktop app installed). Plus, we love how Dropbox renames our files by yyyy-mo-day as it copies them all to the “camera uploads” folder.
